If you’re a fan of both virtual reality and role-playing games, you’re in luck. Augmented Empire is a VR RPG set to launch July 13, only on Samsung Gear VR. The anticipated title already had an impressive cast of voice talent, including Kate Mulgrew (Star Trek: Voyager), Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead), and Garrick Hagon (original Star Wars trilogy).
Now, Augmented Empire will have Doug Cockle, the voice of Geralt on the iconic main character from the popular Witcher series.
Augmented Empire features a cyber punk theme and is said to take more than 10 hours to complete, which is great for a VR game. The setting is New Savannah, a neo-noir island city divided into three hierarchical tiers by what’s known as the Citizen Grade System. Players can play and upgrade 6 unique characters as they explore more than 60 environments.
Augmented Empire will launch with a price tag of $9.99 in America and feature support for Gear VR controllers and gamepads. For more info on this exciting VR RPG, including a batch of awesome images, check out the official website here.
