Call of Duty continues being one of the most successful video game franchises of all times. It seems people just really like shooting things in virtual worlds, whether it’s during a historical war or in space. But despite selling well, last year’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was criticized from the very beginning for taking the series into a futuristic setting.
If you’re one of them, there’s good news. A video by Youtuber “TheFamilyVideoGamers” supposedly shows leaked images of this year’s Call of Duty. It looks like Sledgehammer Games is taking the next title in the franchise back to one of the most popular first-person shooter settings of all time— World War II.
You can check out the leaked pictures here. We’ll be sure to announce if/when Activision or Sledgehammer Games comes out to confirm that Call of Duty 2017 is in fact set during the Second World War.
