The PlayStation 4 Pro will be released later this month on November 10th, and with it comes a more immersive gaming experience courtesy of the increased CPU and GPU that gave way to HDR support, smoother framerates and of course, 4K resolution.
Simply put, the PS4 Pro is the most powerful video game console ever, a distinction it will hold until the Microsoft “Project Scorpio” arrives next year (assuming Microsoft really makes good on the 6 teraflops promise).
To take advantage of the PS4 Pro’s superior hardware, many already-released PS4 games will be given a touch-up by their respective developers, while recently-released games come with a built-in PS4 Pro support. Over the past few weeks, we’ve had several confirmations on which titles will be PS4 Pro-optimized – like 2K Games’ NBA 2K17, and Bethesda’s Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition.
The confirmations have been independent of each other, though. So, thankfully, PlayStation Europe was kind enough to make a neat list that contains all the games that will be optimized for the PS4 pro at launch. And without further ado, here they are:
- Battlefield 1
- Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3
- Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered
- Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
- Dishonored 2
- Driveclub VR
- EA Sports FIFA 17
- Hustle Kings
- inFAMOUS First Light
- inFAMOUS Second Son
- Mafia III
- Mantis Burn Racing
- Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
- NBA 2K17
- Neon Chrome
- PlayStation VR Worlds
- Ratchet & Clank
- Rez Infinite
- Ride 2
- RIGS Mechanized Combat League
- Rise Of The Tomb Raider
- Robinson: The Journey
- Super Stardust Ultra
- The Elders Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited
- The Elders Scrolls: Skyrim Special Edition
- The Last Of Us Remastered
- The Last Of Us: Left Behind
- The Playroom VR
- Titanfall 2
- Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
- Until Dawn: Rush of Blood
- Viking Squad
- Wheels of Aurelia
- World Of Tanks
- XCOM 2
As noted in the post, that number will be more than doubled by the end of the year, with more than 45 other games on the way which include popular titles like Watch Dogs 2 and the soon-to-be released Final Fantasy XV. Perhaps the most noteworthy games in the list above are The Last of Us Remastered and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
The former will allow you to once again experience one of the best stories ever told in the history of video games, but this time in even better visuals. Can you already imagine that epic ending sequence in glorious 4K? And as for the latter, well, it boasts a game world based on the work of one John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. That should be enough to get Lord of the Rings fans giddy, right?
According to PlayStation Europe, details on some games’ specific enhancements will arrive in the “coming days and weeks.” So stay tuned for more info.
