Less than a week after releasing the video that gave us our first look at Nintendo Switch, Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima has announced plans to reveal more details on the new console. The event will be called the Nintendo Switch Presentation and will be held at Tokyo Big Sight on January 12th, 2017.
The event will be livestreamed globally from Japan and allow gamers to try out the Nintendo Switch for themselves if they stick around until January 14th and 15th. Fans in Europe and the U.S. will also get the chance to play the unique hybrid console at later dates.
The presentation is promised to finally give us a release date for the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo will also talk about price tag and the lineup of games in development, including the ones that will be available on launch.
With only a few months until release, excitement for the Nintendo Switch has grown considerably since last week’s reveal trailer. If you’re one of the many fans, be sure to mark your calendar for January 12th.
Nintendo also mentioned they’d use their social media channels to share when the exact time for the Nintendo Switch Presentation will be. We’ll be sure to update this piece when the details are announced.
