To celebrate the fourth anniversary of the Bravely series, Square Enix is releasing a mobile entry in the form of Bravely Default: Fairy’s Effect. The new title has a launch date of sometime 2017 and will be available on smart phone and tablet devices.

The original Bravely Default launched in 2012 with a sequel releasing earlier this year in North America. Both titles were met with a positive reception and are currently only available on 3DS, which makes it odd that this new game is for the mobile platform.
No information about gameplay or story has been given, including if a 3DS version will be made. The only detail known is that Japan will get a closed beta soon, which means the new title might be pretty close to releasing.
