From releasing updated versions of classic titles to developing new adventures for tablets and smartphones, the company behind Final Fantasy has certainly made a presence in the mobile game market. But with Final Fantasy XV finally nearing release, all eyes have been on the long-awaited entry in the main Final Fantasy series.
Machine Zone has a stellar track record in the mobile gaming space and we are putting Final Fantasy XV in trustworthy hands. We are very excited to work with the MZ team to bring together two leaders in the gaming world and look forward to Final Fantasy XV on MZ’s amazing gaming platform. We’ll work together to create MZ’s next great global mobile MMO game.” — Yosuke Leydon, President of Square Enix
But to keep mobile gamers excited, Square Enix has announced that the studio behind “Mobile Strike” is currently developing an FF XV spin-off title. Though little information has been revealed, including the name of the title, the combination Square Enix’s RPG knowledge with Machine Zone’s technology and knack for mobile MMOs is very promising.
