If there’s one thing Microsoft is doing better than the rest, its frequently improving the Xbox One’s user interface. The latest update is going to be the biggest one yet by making the dashboard a smoother experience. This includes things like smaller icons and reducing access to the Guide screen to one Xbox button press instead of two, allowing you to navigate there much faster.
The update is also introducing a host of exciting such as the ability to track achievements on the home screen, Blu-ray player bitstream passthrough, and co-pilot accessibility . It’s also much easier to use Game DVR and choose from various recording lengths in seconds.
While the UI and multi-tasking changes are great, including Cortana tweaks, the biggest thing the update offers is Beam. Beam is an interactive livestreaming app that lets you watch streamers while playing with them at near real-time.
