In 2011, Rockstar released a detective adventure game that impressed with its facial animation technology and excellent writing. While it didn’t garner the same attention as Grand Theft Auto or Red Dead Redemption, it was seen as an important step forward in how video games can tell a good story. This year, gamers who own the latest consoles will be able to check out L.A. Noire when it releases this November 14th.
More than just a re-release, Rockstar has prepared each version with their own special features. The Switch version will include optional gesture-based controls via the Joy-Cons, touchscreen controls, and unique camera angles. The Vive version, subtitled “The VR Case Files,” will have rebuilt versions of the game’s cases designed for VR gameplay. As for PS4 and Xbox One, they’ll include new cinematic camera angles as well as various graphical improvements.
