Konami has decided to give players a reason to return to the acclaimed 2015 title more than a year later. An update to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain just launched that introduces several new features to the game’s online multiplayer mode: Operating Bases. The biggest addition is Revolver Ocelot, one of the series’ most iconic personas, as a playable character.
Although you can’t change his appearance like other characters, he boasts a number of combat abilities such as better camouflage and quicker reload speeds. The skilled gunslinger can also ricochet bullets off of marked enemies.
The update also adds two swimsuits that you can develop for your Diamond Dog army: Goblin Suit and Megalodon Suit. Instead of giving you camouflage, they raise a soldier’s movement speed.
The new update is only live for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One version of the game. Upon release, Metal Gear Solid V received near-perfect review scores from almost every prominent publication. It was the last game in the series where series creator Hideo Kojima would play a role.
