If there’s one thing gamers love seeing, it’s developers hosting beta events that let them try out upcoming titles. But for the developers, these events are more than just opportunities to let fans grow their interest in their title. They’re looking for player feedback to make their game better before launch.
Infinity Ward has done just that with the upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The famed studio has revealed a list of things that people who played the beta will find different in the final version of the game, all thanks to their feedback.
While some of these changes were made to make the matchmaking process faster and smoother, most affect gameplay. This involved balancing several weapons so they’re either better or not too powerful. For example, the shotgun got a number of buffs (longer range damage and one-shit kill range) while snipers received a few debuffs to make the class more balanced.
We’re counting more than 40 changes and bug fixes spread across different areas, including modes, spawn times, salvage gained, perks, and more. To see the complete list of changes and bug fixes, check out the Reddit thread here.
