Respawn has taken to their official blog to reveal what Titanfall 2’s next DLC pack is all about. The biggest offering is Frontier Defense, a co-op mode that pits four players against various waves of enemies. Ever since Gears of War 2 introduced their own co-op mode called Horde, this style of mode has been referred to as a “Horde Mode.”
Now, Titanfall 2 players will have their own wave-based mode that’s an enhancement of the Frontier Defense mode that also came to the original Titanfall in an update. Here’s the official Operation Frontier Shield gameplay trailer:
The new mode features five difficult levels to select along with a new Titan progression system. The DLC also introduces two new maps, the first being a remaster of Rise from the first game. The other map, Township, gives Live Fire players a new battleground to wage war in. Other extras include New Elite Warpaints that offer you a 10% chance to earn a double XP token when applied to a weapon or Titan.
Titanfall 2 is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
