Launching alongside the Nintendo Switch, which has done exceptionally well its first month, was the first main entry in the Bomberman series to release in almost a decade. Super Bomberman R features an eight-player multiplayer mode as well a story campaign, which currently consists of 50 stages that can all be played with a co-op partner.
As a nice surprise, Konami has announced they’ll be supporting their latest Bomberman title with free content. The DLC is planned to bring a number of new multiplayer maps along with unique characters to play as.
Konami most likely decided to continue supporting the game due to the mixed to positive reception so far. Although people love the gameplay and art style, the biggest gripe has been a lack of content, especially considering the launch price of $49.99
We’re still waiting on Konami to announce when exactly the DLC will launch.
