Many fans of the giant RPG franchise have had their fingers crossed for a while now, hoping the latest entry in the main series would arrive for PC. Square Enix made their dreams come true after announcing Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition at this year’s Gamescom. It was previously only available for Xbox One and PS4 since the original release about a year ago.
Windows Edition will offer a number of special treats for PC gamers, including visual enhancements like improved shadows, 4K graphics, and more. All the DLC that has released so far will be included along with a new “first person mode” never before seen on other platforms. Square Enix teases these features in the trailer below:
Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition is set for an early 2018 release. Despite amounting pressure due to a lengthy development cycle, Final Fantasy XV was praised upon release and served as the biggest launch date in the franchise to date.
