Unfortunately for those of us who were looking forward to playing Cuphead “Don’t Deal With the Devil” anytime soon, that will no longer be the case.
In an update from Studio MDHR, they announced that Cuphead will be pushed back to sometime in the middle of 2017.
Hey everyone, we wanted to finish our game 80 years after 1936 but it will now be 81.
Throughout this year we discussed reducing the scope to make a 2016 release, but we made the difficult decision to delay the launch in order to ship with our vision intact. We are happy to announce that Cuphead will be coming to Xbox One, Windows 10 and Steam in Mid-2017.
We are constantly humbled by your continued support. Love you all and can’t wait to get this to you. Without further ado, we will get back to work!
In case you never heard of Cuphead, imagine playing a run and gun action game that is inspired by the artwork, animations, and sounds of cartoons from the 1930’s.
Sounds pretty awesome right?
Cuphead is a single player or co-op experience that focuses on epic boss battles in some really strange worlds. Full of hidden secrets, weapons, and super moves, you’ll be challenged to survive in a world with intense, non-stop action.
There is no actual release date so expect to receive more information on when you can finally get your hands on the game sometime next year. Hopefully Cuphead won’t get delayed again.
