Several months ago, Instagram blatantly copied Snapchat stories and included them in their equivalent of a news feed. The proved model provided instant success as users flocked to the new feature by the millions – exactly 100 million users were using the feature by the very same day.
But, Instagram added another feature on top of Snapchat’s foundations – rewinding stories by lightly tapping on the left side where the story is.
Now, it’s payback time.
As the karmic wheel turns and seals fates, that same feature to rewind news by tapping the left side now got copied by the same people who were previously ripped-off. Snapchat copied the rewind feature from Instagram like it was no one’s business.
Confused yet as to who copied what?
Furthermore, Snapchat added a new filter called ‘world lenses’ in an update that also covered news tapping as well. World lenses, instead of turning you into a canine breed or a dunce – makes your surroundings colorful and happy to contrast the bleak reality of it all.
To add, the news tapping feature is hidden, and you can only discover it after the latest update is being applied.
Before the update, users had to close the main story feed and search for a certain username in order to view a snap. Now, this is altogether taken care of.
