It’s been a few years since Dragon Age: Inquisition impressed the industry with its expansive world, deep RPG mechanics, and solid gameplay. While focus has been on Mass Effect and the newly-revealed Anthem, it looks like Dragon Age fans might have something to look forward to soon. On the The 1099 podacast, series creative director Mike Laidlaw teased that “something is happening with Dragon Age.”
Although Laidlaw didn’t provide any details, he did reveal that BioWare’s team in charge of Dragon Age is currently doing a huge hiring push. In other words, development on the next Dragon Age title is either beginning soon or already underway and in need of more talent.
Laidlaw continued to tease that BioWare also has other things in store that they haven’t revealed yet. They surprised everyone this last E3 2017 when Anthem, their answer to Bungie’s Destiny, was revealed. Whether their secret projects are more new IPs or tied to their existing ones is up for speculation.
